E-X-C-H-A-N-G-E-V-A-L-U-E-S: The Second XV Interviews

I think this was already picked up in the new announcement feed, but this project is worth special mention.

E-X-C-H-A-N-G-E-V-A-L-U-E-S collects in printed form the second round of interviews from Tom Beckett's always fascinating interview blog of the same name. In addition to the interviews, poems, visual poetry, and a play by the interviewees have been included in the printed anthology. Many of the contributors are publishers, as well as poets, and discuss the whys and wherefores of making books.

Interviews with Mark Young, Michael Heller, Bob Grumman, Shanna Compton, Sandy McIntosh, Jim McCrary, Gary Sullivan, A.L. Nielsen, Michael Farrell, CAConrad, Anny Ballardini, Denise Duhamel, Nick Carbó, Jack Kimball, Geoffrey Young & Jordan Stempleman, plus more than 100 pages of text & visual poetry, an essay, & even a play. The interviewers this time around are Tom Beckett, Thomas Fink, Richard Lopez & Geof Huth.

Otoliths is publishing via Lulu, so the book is available here.

The first volume (also terrific!) is available here.

New press: Interbirth Books

From the editor:
I am pleased to announce the launch of Interbirth Books' website. Interbirth Books is a small press dedicated to producing hand-crafted books of poetry, prose, and visual art. By visiting the website, you can learn more about Interbirth Books and purchase our inaugural title, David Hadbawnik's Ovid in Exile.

Also, beginning in February, Interbirth will be presenting a monthly poem, work of prose, or image from authors and artists whose work I admire. I hope that you will take a moment to enjoy the creative efforts of those authors and artists who will share their work with us.

The Dusie Kollektive is live

I've added Susana Gardner's personal blog to the DIY news feed in the sidebar as well, since it's the best place to pick up announcements about Dusie's issues and books. Logan Ryan Smith's Transmission Press has also been added to the feed.

But I want to call attention to the new issue of Dusie here in a post, too, because it contains an incredible wealth of new poetry--60 electronic chapbooks!

As a participant in this year's Kollektiv chapbook exchange, I've had the pleasure of seeing most of these chaps in their printed forms. I haven't quite gotten to them all--some still await opening-- and some already tempt me to revisit.

Now everyone can enjoy them.
